Dear families,

I hope everyone had a lovely long weekend and has been able to get out and enjoy some of the sunshine we’ve had over the last couple of days.

Melinda is hard at work organising our daycare bookings for 2026, please make sure you have handed in your preferences to her or to your child’s Lead Educator. We are looking very full in Minnows in particular, so please ensure you hand your form in if you are wanting to change/add any days.

For kinder families who would like before or aftercare, I will be sending a separate expression of interest form by the end of this week. Our kinder aftercare for 4yo will look a little different in 2026 due to some restructuring required by the extended pre-prep hours. Aftercare families will have the option of a longer or shorter aftercare session on Wednesdays and Thursdays, if you could indicate your probably preference, that would be much appreciated.

Staff Leave
Jaysun will be away on Monday and Tuesday. He will be covered by Destiny
Anna will be away on Wednesday. Please direct enquiries to Melinda in the office or Lucy-Anne in Minnows.

Upcoming Events
As part of 2025 Children’s Week, Seawinds ELC will be holding an Open Afternoon on Thursday October 23rd from 2.30-5.30. We will have an Animal Nursery, Face Painters and more! The Hub will have lots of exciting things happening as well during the week so mark it in your calendar and plan to come down to check it out.

Policy Review
As part of our ongoing focus on maintaining a Child Safe Environment, we have recently reviewed our Child Protection Policy and our Reportable Conduct Scheme Policy. I have attached them here and welcome any feedback you may have.
